Cantine di Ora, Amarone della Valpolicella 2021

The vineyards of Cantine di Ora can be found in the Italian region of Veneto, where history, culture and romance are all intertwined between the cities of Verona & Venice. Focusing on a passion for the grapes themselves, their wines are fruit-driven and authentically Venetian. Amarone della Valpolicella 2021 is a beautiful Amarone. Grapes are picked by hand before being dried on traditional wooden racks for three months where they lose 35% of their weight, concentrate their flavour and greatly enhance their taste. Intense ruby with garnet hints, it has a complex fruity bouquet of cherry, black cherry, blackberry, vanilla, raisins and also some tropical fruits. The palate is full, rich, soft and velvety - certainly a wine to savour and one which will benefit from decanting.
